Baunscheidt therapy

The Baunscheidt therapy (also Baunscheidtism and Baunscheidt animal) is an alternative medical treatment method based on the irritation of the skin. It was applied around 1840 by the Westphalian industrial teacher, cartwright and inventor Carl Baunscheidt (1809-1873) with the needle pricking device "Lebenswecker", which he developed. 

It is one of the eliminatory methods and in this form is almost only found in Germany. 

INDICATIONS
This method is used to treat chronic inflammation, pain, irritation and cramps, rheumatism, gout, multiple sclerosis, lung diseases, damaged discs, migraine, etc. 

EFFECTIVENESS
An effectiveness of this therapy has not been proven for any of these diseases.
